I WANT: Topshop Dresses

I know that "I want doesn't get" but I seriously WANT these dresses from Topshop.
Red Floral Tea
(After looking at them all together my face looks incredibly threatening out of context of the rest of the orig photo!)

Together these dresses cost £120.
MY HEART...IT BREAKS.
I can seriously justify buying all of these as well which scares me slightly as spending £120 on dresses seems ridic!!

MY JUSTIFICATIONS by Catherine

I'm going on holiday to Cuba with my fam and Barcelona with ma gurrrls so I need some summer dresses to wear.
Animal print: can wear in evenings and dressed down in daytime
Babydoll: would be great for general walking around sightseeing stuff, can be dressed up
Tea Dress: wear during day and evening also in other seasons with layers!!

So now I will get back to dreaming of summer and revising for exams.

LOVE: Shoes!

Shoes

catherineid

These are the shoes I have been loving recently!

COWBOY BOOTS:As a fan of both Footloose and Miley Cyrus I figured I should own a good pair of cowboy boots. I have a pair which I am going to start wearing more but they're studded and I'm kinda over the whole stud thang. But with summer dresses and denim I'll look like I've waked out of a southern postcard :)

WINGED SHOES: I've always thought these were cool but then I saw a vid with Justin Bieber wearing them (don't judge, I'm a beliber :D) and that sold me. Plus you get to look like Hermes!

PERSPEX HEEL: THESE ARE SO COOL! These styles of shoe are not my fave tbh. But! The concept is so cool. I saw some I loved the look of in TopShop in early February but, alas, I can not find them. I've seen some Jeffrey Campbell Lita style on boohoo.com but they're not really doing it for me. I'll be keeping my eyeout though!

CUT OUT WEDGE: The ASOS ones are my fave but I don't have £70 to spend on shoes right now :'(  I can imagine a lot of                                     things going wrong when wearing these shoes, twigs getting caught in your stride, general mishaps but that doesn't stop me from loving them!!

Ahhhhh...One day I shall own these and I shall strut round town, head held high because my shoes are the best.
Anyways peace out :) Catherine xxooxox

LOVE: Dolce and Gabbana A/W '13

I love this collection! It's so regal and the accessories are to die for!
I don't know how to analyse or describe fashion so Imma just say what comes out however ignorant it makes me sound, ok so on to the SHOEES!

These shoes are amazing the velvet and the winding flowers. Plus they've got this gold cagey thing going on which is cool! They remind me of fairy tales :)

They're just so cool!!!! I love the gold with the jewels and the fresco-like prints it's so regal. And I mean, who doesn't want to wear a crown?! On to the grand finale...

They look like an army of princesses with the addition of me owning the runway ;)

hope y'all are ok xoxoxo

You Old Boot

These were my trusty Primark Chelsea boots

They served me well from about October to December until they fell apart and stretched past the point of no return.

Then came these guys. I first saw them in the Oxford Street TopShop when I was on the hunt for some boots and ended up with the Primark ones which were were the more pocket friendly option.

At £150 these Carvela Kurt Geiger Sloane boots were not cheap but they are timeless and amazing quality and I love them!

#CompanyBloggingForum

Lemme just set the scene for y'all.

Basics back in December I saw in my Company magazine that they would be hosting a forum on blogging with speakers such as wishwishwish and 5inchandup. It was £25 for a ticket and I YOLOed it. I picked up the phone and booked a place.
A month on, in the midst of revision and January deadlines it was at the back of my mind until I checked the confirmation email and saw it was on Tuesday.

So after a full day of classes I speed-walked home swapped my textbooks for my maps and set off into the night.
In reality it was only ten to six, but it was dark none the less!
I got off at Monument to change from the District Line (my fave) to the Central at Bond Street. Little did I know it's a TREK to get from Monument to the Central line. Down some stairs followed by two sets of escalators, then passed the Bond Street DLR platforms then back up two more escalators and finally onto the tube Liverpool Street bound. I got off and couldn't find an obvious exit so followed a stream of people and pretended like I knew what I was doing.
Eventually after getting lost walking into the depths of Hoxton instead of taking a subtle right turn I found the venue, Rich Mix, half an hour after the start.
I got up to the 4th floor to find the place deserted except for two immaculate looking women and the fact that the panel had just started.
I walked in and had to pass right in front of the Company Editor, Victoria White, the superbloggers and the ENTIRE audience.
It was so cringe.
I found a seat at the back and kept quite for the rest of the discussions.
Overall I found the experience very useful and gave me the determination to just keep on going even if I'm talking to no one right now.

Anyways, enough about that! Here's what was in the goodie bag :)

Kleenex facial cloths, Elemis body scrub, Body Shop body butter, St Moriz fake tan, fake tan mit by Velvotan

Batiste lace dry shampoo, Lee Stafford volumising mousse

Technic party set, OPI shatter nail varnish, Primark S/S'13 sun glasses

Next curve control tights, a mini Green & Black's white choc (nom) and finally Gourmet choc covered Jelly Beans (not so nom).

Look how small it is!!! So cute!!

I've got back to History revision but tanks fer readin, Catherine xxo

What's for Tea?

I've often thought about who'd be at my imaginary dinner party and so I'd thought I'd share :)
So in no particular order...

Dr Frank N Furter
Freddie Mercury
Beyonce
Chris Kendall (crabstickz)
Tyra Banks
and here we all are :)

What's for Tea?

This took me a ridiculous amount of time to format and import pictures to polyvore and stuff but I think it turned out well! Do excuse my Miley Cyrus circa 2008 pose and my fleece but it was the only picture of me I could find where I my full body was featured :)

My hopes of getting the grades to get into Uni are slowly slipping away as my revision c'est terrible but hey ho by summer exams will be over and I can scroll on tumblr without heavy guilt surrounding me.

I'll be getting back to work then, Catherine xxo
p.s. Who'd you invite to your dream dinner party? Comment below!

2013 BAYM

How was New Year's Eve y'all? I didn't end up going to Primrose Hill (I will do one year!) but I went round to a friend's house and watched films and had a really nice time :)
I don't have a 2013 calender yet and it's freaking me out. Not having a central place to write down dates has really disorientated me. For example until about 15 mins ago I had completely forgotten that I booked a  place on the Company Bloggers Forum which is on Tuesday! I'm nervous/excited :) I'll let you know how it goes!

In other news I saw this:

A complete waste of a Chanel. I mean just look at it! Hardy practical and hardly worth the $3,900 in my opinion. Sorry for the bad quality but I was literally so taken aback I had to risk taking a stalky picture whilst wondering through Winter Wonderland.

Anyways I'm off to the Ball Gown exhibition at the V&A now avec ma mere. Have a nice weekend!
